APPLY FOR YOUR VISA – ON LINE APPLICATION

The new procedure to fill the applications on line will take effect from 1st December, 2011 on mixed issuance through old and new system and there will be gradual increase of accepting the visa applications using online new system up to 16th December, 2011. With effect from 19TH December, 2011, the Indian Visa Outsourcing Centre will no longer accept the hand written/ hand typed visa applications from this date onwards.

Please note that on and after 19th Decmber, 2011, no previous version of applications will be available at site and no hand filled applications will be accepted at the Indian Visa Outsourcing Centre.

The applicants will fill the application on line by following the guide lines in the following manner. After the application is correctly filled and saved the applicant will bring a hard copy print and the two identical  colour  photographs (Size 50X50 mm ) and other supporting documents required for each category of visa.

It is imperative that applicants are solely responsible for correct filling the applications. Any false, incorrect/incomplete or withholding the information the visa is liable to be refused.

ONLINE VISA APPLICATIONS
 

The site is best viewed in IE( Internet Explorer) 8.0 and above. Your PC should have Acrobat reader version 7.0 or above. Depending on the speed of your internet connection, it may take several minutes in filling the on line application, printing and signing.

During filling of application on line, make sure that all other functions of popout blockers are turned off to avoid interference and interruption.

Once the process of filling on line is completed please write down the ID number and make a print. Sign the application at the indicated places.(One below the photograph space and other places).

Applicants are solely responsible for correct filling the online visa

applications. They are advised to fill-up the application forms carefully.

Visa applications received with incorrect passport details or withholding of any

other information, are liable to be rejected prior to acceptance of visa fees.

Guide lines for filling on line applications and  for Visa applying

1. Read carefully the Visa related General information and the suitable category of Visa for your travel. Make sure that all the supporting documents are available.

2. Fill the application on line:

www.indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/

AND MAKE SURE TO SELECT OFFICE:  ITALY-MILAN.


BY SELECTING ANY OTHER OFFICE OTHER THAN MILAN THE APPLICATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT THE INDIAN VISA OUTSOURCING CENTRE, MILAN.

3. Please note the temporary ID number appearing on each page of the application. This temporary ID number is required should the completion of the application is interrupted for any reason. On completion of the application the Temporary ID number is replaced by an other ID number.

4. Complete your application online. The fields indicated (*) are Mandatory

. Without filling each mandatory field the online processing will not proceed further.

5. If the application is completed on line, please check once again that all the fields are correctly filled. Complete other forms if applicable. Download on line application and other forms and make the prints as required. Sign the application/forms at all the indicated places. Please write down the ID number appearing at the top of application for further follow up.

6. Arrange two colour photographs size 2”x 2”(50mmX50mm) with front face with clear back ground (without any colour background). Ensure that the photographs are as per the specifications(See Under photograph specifications). One photograph should be pasted within the photograph space provided in the application. For the correct photo size the facility is available at the Indian Visa Centre on payment.

7. Check the type of category of visa requested and the documents required by referring to Visa general requirement (Click here)

8. Check the visa fees applicable ( prescribed visa fee +ICWF +The Visa application processing services charges.

9. For foreign nationals residing in Italy or foreigners who have acquired Italian nationality are subject to pay additional fax  (Referral) fee as prescribed in the Visa Fees.

10. Original passport valid at least for six months and with three blank pages for Visa.

11. Attach the originals/copies of the supporting documents and the additional forms where required.

12. Submit the online printed application along with the passport, photographs and the supporting documents and the prescribed fees and service charges in CASH at the receiving counter of Indian Visa Outsourcing Centre, Via Marostica 34, 20146 Milano.

13. Incomplete applications or applications without  payment of  required prescribed fees/service fees or applications without the proper supporting documents will not be accepted and returned.

14. Processing time of ordinary visa applications for Italian nationals may take 8 - 10 working days during the peak season and 3-4 working days in the lean season. For non-Italians and Italian acquired nationals it may take 8 – 10 or more working days. In case of courier service for delivering at applicants destination in Italy, 2 /3 additional days will be required for the transit time.

15. Track the processing of your application on line.

For telephone enquiry, please call the centre only after the date of collection of visa indicated in the receipt is expired. The enquiry phones are received only between 14.30 to 18.00 hours on any working day.
